**Our hemp oil is obtained from the seeds and is a vegetable oil, not a cannabis oil. It does not contain THC and/or CBD and is for topical use only.**
What makes hemp different from other plant oils is that it contains the perfect balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids. These fatty acids are critical for optimal skin health. Hemp oil is also a great source of linolic acid, an omega 6 fatty acid that reduces inflammation and aids in acne treatment. It is said to closely match our own skins lipids so the essential fatty acids are readily absorbed into the skin. It is known to soothe and alleviate dry skin, moisturizing it so that the complexion looks revitalized and radiant. Hemp Oil contributes greatly to protecting the skin’s moisture barrier, improving the texture of the skin, and reducing the visible signs of aging. It is considered a dry oil, so it has less of a greasy feel.
**Interesting Fact: Hempseed is really a tiny nut, rather than a seed, that contains about 20 to 35 percent protein, 20 to 30 percent carbohydrates and 10 to 15 percent insoluble fiber. Phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium and other minerals are also found in Hempseed.
- Store hemp seed oil in a cool dark place to increase shelf life - the fridge is best!
- Hemp Oil can be used by itself as a moisturizer, or it can be combined with essential oils for enhanced effectiveness. For a nice blend of oils, Hemp Oil blends well with Aloe Vera Gel, Olive Oil, and Avocado Oil.

Hemp and Science
Hemp seed oil contains the perfectly balanced 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 (linoleic/ LA) to Omega 3 (alpha-linolenic/ LNA) essential fatty acids, determined to be the optimum requirement for long-term human health. In addition, it also contains smaller amounts of 3 other polyunsaturated fatty acids - gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), oleic acid and stearidonic acid. It has a full amino acid spectrum meaning that it provides complete protein and it has a high mineral content. The oleic acid in hemp seed oil is moisturizing and cell regenerating with anti-inflammatory benefits. The linoleic acid helps restore barrier properties, acts as an anti-inflammatory, and moisture retainer. GLA or Omega 6 has proven benefits for skin ailments like eczema or psoriasis and inflammation issues with the body such as nerve issues and rheumatoid arthritis. Studies have shown it can increase skin barrier repair faster than linoleum acid. It helps skin retain moisture and reduces itch. It also has been known to soothe joint pain and symptoms of allergies as well as encourage healthier brain activities

Hemp as a Facial Moisturizer and Eye Oil:
For a gentle facial moisturizer that is ideal for application under the eyes, simply dab a drop under the eyes and on the eyelids. This can be used all over the face instead of synthetic creams that work to reduce wrinkles, puffiness, and under-eye bags.
Hemp as an Oil Cleanser
To use Hemp Seed Oil as a nourishing cleanser that eliminates impurities, including makeup, without stripping skin of its beneficial natural oils, dip a soft, clean cloth into 1 tsp. of Hemp Carrier Oil, then gently pat it on and rub it into the areas of skin with makeup, including the eye area, ensure the oil does not get into the eyes. After rinsing off the oil, apply a toner and pat the skin dry.
Hemp as an Après Bath Oil
For a fragrant skin-conditioning body oil that disinfects the skin while stimulating circulation, combine the following ingredients in a 4oz dark bottle: Hemp Seed Carrier Oil, and a blend of any or all of the following essential oils at about 1 drop each (for a total of no more than 20 drops): Chamomile Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Sandalwood Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil, Black Pepper Essential Oil, Clove Essential Oil, Geranium Essential Oil, and Patchouli Essential Oil. This oil can be applied to the entire body after a bath or a shower while the pores are more receptive to hydration. This body oil is known to not only reduce or eliminate harmful bacteria and fungi but to also boost circulation and thus promote a refreshed appearance with a smooth, firm, and refined finish.
Hemp for Hair
For a hair treatment that promotes the growth of healthier, silkier, and stronger strands, apply to scalp & coat strands with 1 Tbsp. of Hemp Oil before washing hair. This simple practice is reputed to increase circulation to the scalp, soothe and prevent the formation of dandruff, inhibit the development of infectious growths, decrease hair loss, and increase thickness.
Hemp for Eczema/Skin Conditions
Used in medicinal applications, Hemp Seed Oil soothes areas of skin that are sore, painful, itchy, irritated, and inflamed. To alleviate skin conditions that exhibit these symptoms, such as eczema, first combine the following ingredients in a 30 ml (1 oz.) darkly-colored bottle: 20 ml of Hemp Seed Carrier Oil, 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, and 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil melted. Cap the bottle and gently shake it to ensure thorough blending of all the ingredients. Apply a small amount of this solution to the affected areas of skin, rubbing it in gently. Leave on for 10-15 mins before rinsing off. This can be used for skin rashes as well. To soothe symptoms of psoriasis, use the same method, leaving the oil on the affected areas for 20-25 minutes.
Hemp for Acne
Hemp Seed Oil can be used to soothe the symptoms and discomforts of acne, such as inflammation, redness, congested pores, and to prevent the onset of future breakouts by addressing the bacteria that may potentially cause it to form. To cleanse the pores of white and blackheads and to tighten and decrease the size of pores, first wash the face with water of any preferred temperature. Next, gently massage Hemp Oil into the affected areas of skin and allow it to dry for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it off with water.
